When We Dance

“We thought of life by analogy with a journey, a pilgrimage, which had a serious purpose at the end, and the thing was to get to that end, success or whatever it is, maybe heaven after you’re dead. But we missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing or to dance while the music was being played.”

-Alan Watts

When We Dance, 2021, steel, stainless steel, paint, patina

A kinetic wind sculpture inspired by a vision I painted and have since been exploring unique ways to recreate it and sculpt rth . Their are 24 links in the DNA chain made from chrome stainless semi-spheres, and a large stainless sphere in the figures head, that reflects the viewer and surroundings.
